OUR STORY

Our Story and Mission

Flow Financial was founded in 2020 with a straightforward mission: to help small and growth-stage businesses gain access to practical, high-quality financial leadership. Based in NJ and serves NY Metro and beyond, Flow Financial offers CFO advisory services, outsourced CFO solutions, small business CFO support, business advisory, financial planning and budgeting, and bookkeeping. We exist to bridge the gap between day-to-day bookkeeping and strategic finance so business owners can make confident, data-driven decisions.

Our mission is more than delivering reports—it is about building financial confidence. We work closely with founders and leadership teams to simplify financial complexity, prioritize actions that impact cash flow and profitability, and implement systems that scale with your business.

Why Flow Financial Exists

Small business owners wear many hats and financial strategy often takes a back seat to operations and revenue generation. Yet, sound financial leadership is the engine that keeps your business operating, growing, and resilient. Flow Financial was created to give small businesses access to CFO-level guidance that is affordable, practical, and focused on execution.

The founders recognized a recurring need: owners want strategic financial oversight but not the cost or commitment of a full-time CFO. Our solution is to deliver top-tier financial strategy through a flexible engagement model that aligns with small business budgets and timelines.

For over 30 years, I've helped organizations turn financial complexity into competitive advantage — from global enterprises to the ambitious small businesses that are the backbone of our economy. Today, through Flow Financial LLC, I bring that same Fortune 50 rigor to emerging and growth-stage companies that need senior financial leadership without the cost or overhead of a full-time CFO.

My career spans strategic advisory, financial operations, and business development across some of the world's most demanding organizations — AT&T, PwC, American Express, AIG, and Deloitte Consulting. I've led multinational teams, supported M&A due diligence and integrations, built shared services operations from the ground up, and consistently driven profitability and organizational efficiency at scale. That breadth of experience means I've seen virtually every financial challenge a growing business faces.

At Flow Financial, I'm supported by a seasoned team of accounting professionals with deep Big 4 lineage, giving clients access to institutional-quality financial support that scales with their needs. We aim to leave a lasting positive impact on every client we serve.

What sets me apart is the ability to simplify complexity without losing the nuance that matters. I take a creative, collaborative approach to every engagement — whether that means optimizing your P&L, preparing for a capital raise, strengthening operational culture, or navigating an exit strategy. I don't just analyze numbers. I partner with leadership teams to build the kind of sustainable financial discipline that transforms organizational health over the long term.

My credentials include CPA, MBA from NYU Stern, BA from the University of Richmond, and am a Certified Executive Coach. I'm also a five-time B2B sales award recipient — a reminder that great financial advisory is ultimately about relationships and results, not just analysis and represents the breadth of experience I bring to clients.

Beyond client work, I'm passionate about giving back. As a SCORE volunteer, I provide pro-bono mentorship to small business owners navigating everything from early strategy to business model reinvention. I also serve on the Board of Trustees for First Step Alliance.

How We Engage with Clients

Our client engagements typically begin with a discovery session where we assess current financial health, priorities, and pain points. From there, we recommend an engagement model:

Short-term project:

For immediate needs such as fundraising support, financial model creation, or system setup.

Ongoing fractional CFO:

Regular, recurring CFO-level support on a retainer basis.

Advisory and mentorship:

For owners seeking coaching on financial leadership and operational alignment.

Bookkeeping + advisory:

Bundled services to ensure accurate data feeds into strategic decision-making.

We focus on rapid wins and longer-term transformation—improving immediate cash flow and reporting while building systems that reduce manual effort and improve forecasting accuracy.
